Welcome to Year One!

This term we will be starting our topic called ‘Toys.’ Share the Knowledge Organiser at home to find out more information about what we will be learning. Try to talk to your children about the toys you used to use.

• PE is on a Monday and Thursday, please can your children wear their PE into school on these days.
• Children will be given five spellings a week to learn at home, the children will be given new spellings every Friday 
• Reading books will be changed on a Friday, and it is expected that children read their books three times. The first book will be a story and should be read by an adult to the child, the second book will be linked to their RWI level, the children will be able to access the book they are reading in school at home through Oxford Owl (please see additional information sent home previously)
