Year 3 Homework Diary

Reading: Please ensure your child is reading at least 3 or more times a week. This can be done independently or with an adult. Adults can support, if done independently, by asking questions about what they’ve just read. This will help their comprehension and understanding of what they have read.

Maths: When the children come to Year 3 they should have a good understanding of 2, 5 and 10 times tables. The expectation in Year 3 is they leave with a solid understanding of 3, 4, and 8 times tables.

We have been using TT Rockstars to further their enthusiasm towards times tables. The link is below. In addition I will send out games that will help develop their knowledge of times tables and division facts through the year.

Below, in the word document, there is a choice of topic based homework. This is an optional piece of homework that will be displayed and praised for if completed. If you wish to create your own Stone Age work that is also fine. This is to immerse the children further into the topic.
